Significant Incidents

Bicyclist Injured in Collision With Vehicle


On April 21 at 3:36 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle-vs-bicycle crash at West 64th Avenue and Quail Street. The bicyclist failed to yield to oncoming traffic while crossing the intersection and was struck by an eastbound vehicle. He sustained serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment. He was cited for failure to yield from a stop.(AR25006666)


Road Rage Incident Ends in Arrest


On April 21 at 5:58 p.m., a road rage incident escalated into a criminal act when the suspect followed another driver home after a traffic altercation. When the victim exited his vehicle, the suspect attempted to strike him with his own car and crashed into the victim's vehicle instead. The suspect was arrested and charged with felony menacing, reckless driving, and criminal mischief. (AR25006673)

The CORE team focuses on issues in the community related to homelessness. They respond to calls involving homeless people, proactively offer resources, and conduct enforcement when other support methods are not effective.
